offensive subjects. OH BOY. So, Deepground is not a good place, even by Shinra standards. It's where the worst of the worst experiments took place in an effort to create super soldiers with no morality and no will of their own. For Nero, a lot of lines that would be there for other people are either blurred or just entirely non-existent. He has undergone exceedingly brutal experiments, oppression, and training exercises; he's been completely dehumanized. He's fanatically obsessed with his brother, and while I tend to lean into romantic overtones, I'm happy to tone it down or omit them entirely if that bothers you. Nero is also obsessed with pain and death, and he's overall just kind of an unhinged little freak (affectionate), so uh...
additional notes. I am very much in the process of voicetesting Nero, and I definitely don't know every in-and-out of the Deepground or Dirge of Cerberus. Please forgive any missteps or inaccuracies.

gen. I am very, very interested in Nero interacting with the rest of the FFVII cast. Obviously, I'm quite happy to write negative CR and conflict. However, tenuous alliances are also one of my favorite tropes if that's not your cup of tea. After all, Nero craves vengeance against Shinra as well as freedom for himself and Weiss more than anything. Handwaving or AUing things is also always welcome. I'm open to discussion; I realize he's not an easy character to interact with. Bonus points: I'm really interested in exploring the idea that he and Vincent are related somehow, because the resemblance is uncanny. Probably Hojo science fuckery, tbh.
shipping. Weiss is an automatic yes. On the off chance someone actually plays Weiss, shipping isn't an obligation at all, however. That said, Nero is incredibly unhinged about his love for him. As such, relationships of a romantic/sexual nature are probably going to be either very unlikely and/or have to be earned over a very long period of time. Still, I'm very open to playing around with it. I'm partial to AUs where a) the object of his obsession is someone else or b) he didn't spend his entire life under oppression. Let's discuss!
